Born in Tenbun 9. Based in Obama, Shima (Mie Prefecture), he served the Kitabatake clan with his navy. After the Kitabatake clan fell into decline, he became the commander of Takeda Shingen's fleet in Genki 2, and later served Tokugawa Ieyasu. He died on September 7, Keicho 2. He was 58 years old.
