〘名〙① (「きろくしょうえんけんけいじょ(記録荘園券契所)」の略) 延久元年(一〇六九)、後三条天皇が荘園整理の政策をとり、その機関として設置した役所。弁、寄人などの職員を置いた。のち、数度にわたって再興された。荘園記録所。※愚管抄(1220)四「延久の記録所とてはじめて置かれたりけるは」② 天永二年(一一一一)、①にならって白河上皇が設置した役所。国司や荘園領主の訴訟の裁決のため、勘状の作成を行なった。※中右記‐天永二年(1111)一〇月五日「今日庄園記録所事始也」③ 保元元年(一一五六)、後白河親政のもとで設置した役所。荘園券契審査と訴訟勘状作成を行なった。※百練抄‐保元元年(1156)一〇月二〇日「更置二記録所一」④ 文治三年(一一八七)二月、源頼朝の要請に基づいて朝廷に設置された役所。朝廷の訴訟処理を主な目的とした。その職掌は従来より拡充され、のち、永仁元年(一二九三)伏見天皇の時、職員を当番制にし、神事、仏事、雑訴をそれぞれ集中的に取り扱った。また、元亨元年(一三二一)後醍醐天皇も再興している。※玉葉‐文治三年(1187)二月二八日「始被レ置二記録所一、以二閑院亭中門南内侍所南廊一為二其所一、執権弁定長也、〈略〉諸司諸国并諸人訴訟、及庄薗券契、於二記録所一、宣レ令レ勘二決理非一」⑤ 建武中興政府が設置した訴訟機関。朝廷の大事を裁決した。土地に関する訴訟など一般の訴訟を雑訴決断所(ざっそけつだんしょ)が扱ったのに対する。新政府が倒れた後も名目だけは存続した。※梅松論(1349頃)上「重事に於ては記録所に於て裁許あり」
