A Meiji era female Kiyomoto master. Daughter of Enjudayu II, her mother was Oiso. At the age of 19, she married Saito Gennosuke (later Enjudayu IV) as her husband. Born with the excellent artistic talent of her parents, she fully utilized her gifted talent to assist her husband and tirelessly worked hard to improve Kiyomoto's performance. Together with Ichikawa Kumehachi and Utazawa Shibakin III, she was called the "triple of Meiji era female entertainers." She was invited to perform joruri at banquets for nobles and merchants as a patron of Okura of Fukiro in Yokohama, which led to her becoming the foster mother of Enjudayu V.
