This is a collection of poems and essays by Kinoshita Choshoshi. In addition to the published version in 1649 (Keian 2), there are also manuscripts with different arrangements. The published version was compiled by Yamamoto Harumasa from the work of his disciples Utsuta Kinnori and Kagenoki, and the first five volumes are a collection of poems, while the last five volumes are a collection of writings. The collection of writings contains 58 pieces of writing starting with "Yamakaki," of which "Unaimatsu," which mourns the premature death of his daughter, is the most powerful. After the publication of this work, the conservative Matsunaga Teitoku faction published the controversial book "Nankyohakushu" (published in 1650) under the name of Jinkyubo, which caused a stir, with "Kyohakushinhyo" (published around 1651) being written in defense of Choshoshi.
