Abbreviation for National Conference on Educational Research. Held annually by the Japan Teachers' Union (Nikkyoso) since 1951 (jointly hosted by the Japan High School Teachers' Union since 1960). Research results accumulated at the workplace, branch and prefecture levels are compiled at the national conference by subject and issue. It signifies the organization of educational research by teachers' unions, and is the largest private education movement in scale.
