A Nagasaki geography book from the mid-Edo period. Compiled in 1716 (Kyoho 1) by Nagasaki Magistrate Ooka Bizennokami Kiyosuke. 12 volumes. It is notable for its policy-based description of Nagasaki's administration and finances, including the transition of trade after the opening of Nagasaki port, especially from the opening of Edo to the promulgation of the Shotoku Shinrei, the allocation of trade interest money at the time, and various public taxes. It also contains a world geography book linked to Nagasaki trade, and records the post towns, ports of call, and distances from Nagasaki to the castle towns of the western provinces and Osaka and Edo, as well as the procedures for foreign ships from entering port to setting sail, making it a valuable historical resource.
