Ki-Oiwa - Kinooiwa

Date of birth and death unknown. A military commander in the late 5th century. Also written as Iwa. In the 9th year of the reign of Emperor Yuryaku, his father, the great general Ki no Oyumi, died of an illness while on an expedition to Silla. So he immediately went to Silla, but he incurred the wrath of his father's colleague, the expeditionary general Soga no Karako, who tried to assassinate him based on Okahi's slander, and he shot and killed him instead. This caused the unification of the Japanese military to become disrupted, and from this time on it became difficult to rule Korea. Later, in the 3rd year of the reign of Emperor Hyeonjong, he made an alliance with Goguryeo, based in Mimana, and opened a government office with the aim of becoming the king of the Three Kingdoms, calling himself "divine." However, the King of Baekje, angry that Oiwa had blocked his road to Japan, attacked the Shitoromurasashi Castle that he had built.Although he had the upper hand for a time, he ran out of military strength and was defeated, so he left Mimana and returned home.

生没年不詳。5世紀末の武将。生磐とも書く。雄略(ゆうりゃく)天皇9年に新羅(しらぎ)に遠征中であった父の大将軍紀小弓(おゆみ)が病死したのでただちに新羅に赴いたが、父の同僚であった遠征将軍の小鹿火(おかひ)の指揮権を奪ったために恨みを買い、小鹿火の讒言(ざんげん)によって自分を暗殺しようとした遠征将軍の蘇我韓子(そがのからこ)を逆に射殺した。このため日本軍の統一は乱れ、朝鮮支配はこのころから困難となった。のち顕宗(けんそう)天皇3年に至って任那(みまな)を拠点に高句麗(こうくり)と結び、三韓の王を目ざして官府を開いて、自ら「神聖」と号した。しかし、大磐に日本への道を遮断されて怒った百済(くだら)王に自分の築いた帯山城(しとろむらさし)を攻められ、一時優勢であったが兵力尽きて敗れ、任那を去って帰国した。
