A guidebook for travel, hotels, and restaurants in France. In 1895, André Michelin, the inventor of the pneumatic tire, patented the use of the tire on automobiles and established a tire company with his brother Edouard. Starting in 1900, André published a series of maps and travel guidebooks for automobiles. This guidebook by André, who promoted the use of road signs and road numbers for automobiles in France in 1911, is known for its usefulness, accuracy of description, and neutral strictness in not including any advertisements from other companies.

フランスの旅行およびホテル，レストランの案内書。空気入りタイヤの発明者アンドレ･ミシュランは1895年このタイヤを自動車に使う特許を取り，弟エドゥアールとタイヤ会社を設立したが，1900年からアンドレは自動車用地図と自動車用旅行案内書を次々と出版した。フランスにおける11年からの自動車用道路標識と道路の番号付けを推進したアンドレのこのガイドブックは，便利さと記述の正確さ，いっさい他社の広告を載せない判断の中立的厳正さで知られる。
