Kujo family documents

This is a collection of documents handed down to the Kujo family, one of the five regent families. Most of them are related to land holdings, and the number of documents far exceeds 3,000. Of these, documents such as the Kokamon'in Kana Transfer Letter and the Kujo Kanezane Transfer Letter are stored at Tenri Library (Tenri City, Nara Prefecture), while the rest were purchased as a set by the Imperial Household Agency Archives and Mausolea Department along with other Kujo family documents and are currently stored here. Of these, approximately 3,000 ancient and medieval documents have been published as "Tosho-ryo Sokan Kujo Family Documents 1-7." These historical documents provide information on the structure of the nobles' estates and estates, and the overall movements of the powerful and aristocratic Kujo family.

五摂家(ごせっけ)の一つ九条家に伝来した文書群。所領関係が中心で、その数は3000点を大きく上回る。このうち皇嘉門院(こうかもんいん)仮名譲状(ゆずりじょう)、九条兼実(かねざね)譲状などは天理図書館（奈良県天理市）に架蔵され、他は宮内庁書陵部が、他の九条家本とともに一括購入し現蔵している。このうち古代・中世文書約3000点は『図書寮叢刊(そうかん)　九条家文書1～7』として公刊された。公家(くげ)領荘園(しょうえん)の構造、権門貴族九条家領総体の動きなどが知られる史料群。
