Sacrifice Festival - Kugisetsu

It is celebrated on the morning of the end of Ramadan, the first day of the 10th month, as the Islamic new year. The 70th day from this day, the 10th day of the 12th month, is Eid al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice, Qurban, also known as the Lesser Feast), a festival in which a sheep is slaughtered to show mercy, based on the story of the saint Ibrahim (Abraham)'s act of self-sacrifice in offering his son to Allah (God).
