Recently, guayule rubber has been attracting attention. It is extracted from guayule (Parthenium argentatum A. Gray), a shrub of the Asteraceae family that grows in dry areas with little rainfall, such as southern North America and Mexico. It has the same cis-1,4 bond polyisoprene structure as natural rubber obtained from the Para rubber tree, and its performance is almost the same. …
