〘noun〙 The process of depositing a thin film of silver on the surface of a metal material. Also, the product that has been treated in this way. Soluble pure silver or insoluble carbon, silver, platinum, stainless steel, etc. are used as the anode and the metal material as the cathode, and a direct current is passed through a plating bath mainly made of potassium silver cyanide.
