In addition to the original version, there is also a version published simply as reading material around Genroku ( 1688-1704 ), characterized by large, exaggerated illustrations of Kinpira's head and eyes. It refers broadly to old Joruri books, and can also refer to akahon books and other such books that feature tales of Kinpira and similar bravery.
