...From the mid-16th century, Tylman Susato (c. 1500-61 to 64) and Pierre Phalèse (c. 1510-76) and others who started publishing music in Antwerp and worked to popularize music also made a great contribution. In the 17th century, music from Italy, France, and then Germany became mainstream, and Abraham van den Kerkhoven (1618?-1701) in organ music, Gioseffo Zamponi (?-1662) in opera, and Pietro Antonio Fiocco (c. 1650-1714) in church music were active, and the Ruckels family produced excellent harpsichords.
