Kiyosato Station

Kiyosato Station

...It straddles Takane Town and Oizumi Village in Kitakoma County, and includes the hill Utsukushimori, which is 1,543 meters above sea level. In 1935, the Koumi Line of the Japanese National Railways (now JR) was opened and Kiyosato Station (1,274 meters above sea level, the second highest station in Japan after the neighboring Nobeyama Station) was established. After World War II, pioneer groups settled here and highland agriculture began.
