Return and Commemoration - Kikyorai no Ji

A representative verse by Tao Qian. Written in 405 when he was 41 years old. It expresses his feelings when he left his job as Pengze County Magistrate and returned to his hometown. In a high-pitched voice, he declares that he is unable to bear the life of a bureaucrat and is retiring. It follows the style of the Chu Ci. It is also included in the Wen Xuan.
