Cooperative Party

There are three political parties in Japan:

(1) A centrist political party founded on December 18, 1945 by Funada Naka, Sengoku Kotaro, Igawa Tadao and others. Its official name was the Japan Cooperative Party.

(2) A small political party founded on September 27, 1946 by the Kita brothers Katsutaro and Masakiyo, who had been expelled from the Cooperative Democratic Party for opposing the merger with the New Seikai faction, and Saneo Ito of the Independent Club. Its platform included protection of the imperial line, cooperativeism, and building an agricultural nation. On March 20, 1947, the following year, Nakano Shiro, Harajiri Azuma, and others joined the party to form the Japanese Farmers Party.

(3) A small political party founded on July 23, 1952 by the remaining members of the Farmers Cooperative Party, who had not joined the founding of the Progressive Party, and the Social Democratic Party led by Rikizo Hirano, under the banner of cooperative socialism. After its membership was reduced from six to two in the general election of October that year, the party was dissolved and merged with the Right Socialist Party.

日本の政党。以下の三つがある。

(1)1945年（昭和20）12月18日、船田中(ふなだなか)、千石興太郎(せんごくこうたろう)、井川忠雄らが結成した中道政党。正称は日本協同党。

(2)1946年9月27日、院内会派新政会との合同に反対して協同民主党から除名された北勝太郎・政清兄弟と無所属クラブの伊藤実雄(さねお)が結成した小政党。皇統護持、協同主義、農業立国を綱領に掲げた。翌1947年3月20日、さらに中野四郎、原尻東らを加えて日本農民党を結成。

(3)1952年7月23日、改進党の結成に加わらなかった農民協同党の残存勢力と平野力三らの社会民主党が協同社会主義を旗印に結成した小政党。同年10月の総選挙で6名から2名に減じたため、解党のうえ右派社会党に合流した。
