Kyodan - Kyodan

...This is a memorial service in which sutras are recited to repent of sins. The Tendai Lotus Sutra and the Zen Kannon Sutra are famous. The structure of the two is quite different, but the core of the service is the bow section, the repentance section, and the sutra section. The bow section is performed by reciting the names of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas related to the Lotus Sutra or Kannon Bodhisattva.
