...This First Chosun Communist Party was recognized by Comintern the following spring and officially became its Korean branch, but prior to that, at the end of 1925, many of its leaders had been arrested and other members had fled the country.
[Second to Fourth Communist Party]
In February 1926, the Second Korean Communist Party was formed with Kang Dal-yong as chief secretary, and in addition to expanding the party organization, establishing the Manchuria General Bureau and Japan Department, and leading labor and peasant organizations, it also worked to form a united front with nationalists, but was suppressed when its activities were discovered during the planning of the June 10th Mansei Movement. Then, An Ko-seong and others who had formed the January Society in Japan returned to Korea and, including the Seoul Youth Society, formed the Third Korean Communist Party (ML Party) in December 1926.
