After unifying China, the First Emperor of Qin traveled around the country and erected monuments to commemorate his own virtues. They are also called the First Emperor Stone Inscriptions. Of the six monuments he erected, only two remain: one at Mount Tai and one at Langya in Shandong Province. However, the inscriptions from the five monuments are recorded in the Records of the Grand Historian, the Annals of the First Emperor. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
