Prior to this, he wrote Shoshin Monsho, and around the same time, Shoshin Noh-densho. All of these are compilations of the secret teachings of Noh from the late Muromachi period, and together with Gyuren Heto-no-tsuki, a handbook he had received from Keiren, they are important as materials for Noh performances of the time.
