Relief facility - Kyuugoshisetsu

Japanese: 救護施設 - きゅうごしせつ

A facility established for the purpose of housing and providing assistance to people who need protection and are unable to live their daily lives independently due to severe physical or mental disabilities. Article 25 of the Constitution of Japan established various social security systems to guarantee a minimum standard of living for all citizens without discrimination, and this facility is one of the five protection facilities stipulated in Article 38 of the Public Assistance Act, which is the central law of the system.

身体上または精神上著しい欠陥があるために，独立して日常生活を営むことのできない要保護者を収容して，生活扶助を行うことを目的につくられた施設。日本国憲法 25条により，全国民に無差別平等に最低生活を保障すべく各種の社会保障制度が生れたが，その中心的法律である生活保護法 38条に規定のある5保護施設のうちの一つである。
