After the September 18th Incident (Manchurian Incident), she organized the National Salvation Association with Shen Junru and Li Gongbo, but was implicated in the Seven Gentlemen Incident and imprisoned in Suzhou Prison. During the War of Resistance, she participated in Song Chingling's Women's Movement Committee with Deng Yingchao and Liu Qingyang, and worked hard to mobilize for the resistance. After Chiang Kai-shek's reaction, she founded the People's Housewives and Women's Friendship Association with Luo Shuzhang and Cao Mengjun, and joined the China Democratic League, taking part in the peace and democratic movement. …
