Deception interference - Gimanbougai

…Chaff is a very light radio wave reflector made of thin aluminum wires cut to about half the radar wavelength. By scattering a large amount of it in the air, enemy radar is masked by its own reflected radio waves and cannot see the target. The second method is called deception jamming, in which radio waves are received from the enemy's electronic communication device, which is then modulated to create a pseudo signal and re-transmitted, causing confusion for the enemy as the pseudo information is mixed in. In the case of radar, it is possible to deceive the distance, direction, speed, and number of targets, so even if a target is locked on, it is possible to electronically release it, and it is widely used as a self-defense method against fire control radar. …
