A warrior who appears in the Kojiki and Nihonshoki. Grandson of Prince Wakatakehiko. Ancestor of Kibi no Shimotsumichi no Omi. According to the "Nihon Shoki," he accompanied Emperor Yamato Takeru on his expedition to the eastern provinces. He was sent to Echigo to inspect the terrain and the people, and then joined Emperor Yamato Takeru in Mino.
