…The Nihon Shoki contains three legends. In the entry for August of the 7th year of the Yūryaku era, Kibi Shimomichi Maezuya sent Yugebe Osora, who served as a eunuch at the imperial court, as an envoy when he returned home, but he was summoned by Emperor Yūryaku. Hearing from Osora that Maezuya had made Oonome and Ootori fight for himself and Koonome and Kotaku Ootori for Yūryaku, and had killed them when Yūryaku's side won, Yūryaku had 30 Mononobe soldiers kill 70 of his family members. In the entry for the 7th year of the Yūryaku era, when Yūryaku heard Kibi Kamimichi Tasa boasting about his wife Wakahime at the imperial court, he sent Tasa to the Mimana provincial governor to take Wakahime away. …
