...Cuban dance music. It is a modern popular music that makes the rhythm of the slow 2/4 dance (danzón) that was born at the end of the 19th century crisper and strengthens the elements of song. It is performed on the traditional Cuban charanga (3-5 violins, flute, piano, bass, rhythm section, etc.). It was created by the violinist Enrique Jorrín.
