Orbital Pad - Kid Pad

Japanese:
Orbital Pad - Kid Pad

… In the case of wooden sleepers, nails (named after the shape of the head) or screw nails are generally used to fasten the rail to the sleeper, and a steel plate called a tie plate is inserted between the rail and the sleeper to prevent the rail from biting into the sleeper. In the case of PC sleepers, the elasticity is lower than that of wooden sleepers, so a track pad made mainly of wood or rubber is inserted between the rail and the sleeper, and the rail is fastened with a rail pressure spring and a bolt.
[Track bed]
The ballast is the area between the sleepers and the roadbed and around the sleepers, and its role is to support the sleepers tightly and evenly and to distribute the load transmitted from the wheels through the rails and sleepers widely to the roadbed.
