Wei Zheng Xuancheng

…A minister of the early Tang Dynasty in China. His pen name was Xuancheng. He was from Juluqucheng (Hebei Province). He was also called the Duke of Wei Zheng due to his title. At the end of the Sui Dynasty, Li Mi entered the Tang Dynasty and served Emperor Gaozu's eldest son, Li Jiancheng. After the Xuanwu Gate Incident, Taejong When he ascended to the throne, he was favored and promoted to prime minister. He is the most famous advisor in Chinese history, and his arguments on the difficulties of maintaining his position appear in the Zhenguan Zheng Yao and Wei Zheng Gong Zhan Lu, and his poem entitled "Recollections" is placed at the beginning of the Selection of Tang Poetry. He compiled the Histories of the Five Dynasties, including the Sui Shu, and the Qunshu Zhi Yao.
