Born in Tensho 14. Son-in-law of Konparu Yasuteru. He began performing Noh at the age of seven and was called Nanatsudayu. He was adopted by Kongodayu Yaichi and succeeded Kongodayu in Keicho 10. He sided with Toyotomi in the Summer Siege of Osaka, but in Genna 4 he was allowed to found the Kita school by Tokugawa Hidetada. He passed away on January 7, Joo 2. He was 68 years old.
