Noble Albergo - Kizoku no aruberugo

…the Genoese albergo was a family association of the city's nobility. Its correct name is the albergo dei nobili. It was the same kind of association as the società dei torri (society of towers) that existed in other Italian cities around the 12th century, but in the case of Genoa, it exerted great influence in city politics and international commerce from the 12th to the 16th centuries.
