This keyhole-shaped tumulus is located in Yahata-machi, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. It was built on a low hill in the western outskirts of Takasaki City, facing almost northwest, bounded by the Usui River to the south and the Karasu River to the north. It measures 105m in total length, 70m in diameter at the rear mound, and 105m in width at the front. There are traces of a moat, and it also has roofing stones and haniwa clay figures. In 1945, a horizontal-type stone chamber with an opening to the south was discovered in the rear mound, and grave goods were excavated. The stone chamber has two sleeves and measures 15.3m in total length. Grave goods include a mirror, gold ring, silver bracelet, a bronze pot with a pedestal, a bronze pot, a sword, a spear, a silver buckler, iron arrowheads, armor, horse equipment, tools, and sueki ware. 群馬県高崎市八幡町に所在する前方後円墳。南を碓氷川に,北を烏川に画された,高崎市西郊の低丘陵上にほぼ北西に面して築かれる。全長105m,後円部径70m,前方部幅105mをはかる。周濠をそなえた痕跡があり,また葺石(ふきいし),埴輪を有する。1945年,後円部で南に開口する横穴式石室が発見され,副葬品が出土した。石室は両袖式で,全長15.3mをはかる。副葬品には鏡,金環,銀釧(ぎんくしろ),承台付銅鋺(かなまり),銅鋺,刀,矛,銀弭(ぎんゆはず),鉄鏃,挂甲(けいこう),馬具,工具,須恵器などがある。
