...A book twice the size of a Kikuban is called a Kikubaiban (standard size is 218mm x 303mm) and is equivalent to A4 size (210mm x 297mm). A book that is the size of a Kikuban folded in half is called a Kikuhansai (109mm x 151mm) and is equivalent to A6 size (105mm x 148mm). When referring to a Kikuban, it can refer to the dimensions of the original paper and the size of the format, just like with a Shirokuban.
