...A dark band-like pattern runs from the body to the tail. The largest species is the yellow krait B. fasciatus (illustration), found in India, Southeast Asia, and southern China. It is 1.5 to 2.1 meters long, has a central row of scales on its back that are raised, and has a round, torn-off tip on its tail, giving it the nickname of round-headed krait. This highly poisonous and extremely dangerous species is prone to damage, as it is trampled on at night when it becomes active.
