It is commonly called 'Take'. A condition in which small and large circular lesions with mild depigmentation and relatively clear borders appear on the face. The lesions dry and desquamate like pityriasis, so they look whitish and powdery. There are usually no subjective symptoms. Redness and papules may also be seen. It was previously thought to be tinea facialis, but the fungus cannot be proven to be tinea. It is common in prepubertal children, especially boys, and heals naturally when sebum secretion increases during puberty. Symptoms become more noticeable in the summer. Similar lesions occurring on the head are called pityriasis simplex capitis, and those occurring on both the face and head are called pityriasis simplex fasciata.

俗にはたけという。顔面に，境界が比較的鮮明で，軽い色素脱失性の大小の円形病変が生じる状態。病変部は乾燥して，粃糠様に落屑するので，白っぽく粉を掃いたようにみえる。普通，自覚症状がない。発赤や丘疹がみられることもある。以前は顔面白癬と思われていたが，白癬菌は証明できない。思春期前の小児，特に男児に多く，思春期になり皮脂分泌がふえると自然に治癒する。症状は夏季に顕著になる。同様の病変が頭部に生じるものは頭部単純性粃糠疹，顔面と頭部に生じるものは顔面頭部単純性粃糠疹と呼ばれる。
