Kankojiro - Kankojiro

...The name of a Chinese folk god, said to be the second son of Li Bing, the governor of Shu during the Qin dynasty. It is also called "Guankou Erlang" because the temple was located in Guankou, northwest of Guan County, Sichuan Province. Li Bing had been worshipped since ancient times for his contributions to flood control (Dujiangyan) of the Min River that flows through Guan County, but it is thought that the deity of his son Erlang was born during the Song dynasty.
