…Most of these three collections of precious wooden scrolls were published at the end of the Meiji period as “Great Japanese Ancient Documents, Family Division 1, Mount Koya Documents.” Many other documents related to the main temple, such as the Goei-do documents and the Kangakuin documents, as well as documents from the sub-temples, such as Kongo-Zanmai-in, Hoju-in, Shochi-in, and Seinan-in, have been handed down within Mount Koya. A small portion of these documents are included in the “Mount Koya Documents” compiled by Nakata Hoju, as Kongo-bu-ji documents (Kangakuin documents), Kongo-Zanmai-in documents, documents from the former scholars (documents from the five temples Jakusei-in, Takamuro-in, Jimyo-in, Shojoshin-in, and Seinan-in, etc.), and documents from the former Gyonin-in (documents from Kosan-ji, An'yo-in, Rengejo-in, and Saimon-in, etc.), and were published by the Mount Koya Documents Publishing Association, but were discontinued due to the outbreak of the Pacific War. …
