In Osaka, there was Kawasho, a miso shop located in front of the gates of Wakoji Temple in Horie (now Chuo Ward). It was known for having a large waterwheel-like wheel installed in front of the store, and when someone went inside and turned it, several stone mills worked in tandem to grind the mash, producing white sake.
