This is an evaluation method that focuses on the clarity of conversational speech. When specific test syllables are randomly sent through the communication system to be measured, the percentage of syllables that are correctly heard by the listener is called syllable clarity. When this is converted into the correct hearing rate for vowels, consonants, etc., it is called monophone clarity.
