Karakamishi
〘 noun 〙 A craftsman who makes Karakami by stamping patterns on paper with a wooden frame. Also, a craftsman who pastes Karakami onto sliding doors. ※Kanmon Gyoki - Eikyo 7th year (1435), July 4th "Karakami-shi attends, protruding shoji paper" ※71st Craftsman Poetry Contest (around 1500) verse 23 "Karakami-shi, if the glue is a little sticky, put in some Kirara paper"
