《Engihonkei》 - Engihonkei

...A genealogy of the ancient great clan, the Onakatomi clan. It was compiled in 906 (Engi 6) by Onakatomi Yasunori, who was the deputy head of the Shinto priest's office, and is therefore also known as the "Engihonkei" or "Yasunorihonkei." At the beginning of this book of genealogy is attached a letter of explanation that describes the circumstances surrounding the submission of the "Newly compiled clan genealogy." The book of genealogy was written by Nakatomi Tokiwa no Otomi, son of Kuroda no Otomi, ancestor of Yasunori, and includes information on the bestowal of the surname and the compilation of the book of genealogy.
