[Kamaishi Port]
A port on the Sanriku coast that belonged to the Nanbu Domain in the early modern period. Until the early modern period, the area facing Kamaishi Bay and the Koshi River basin was called Kamaishi-go, but as the port developed, it was divided into villages such as Kamaishi, Hirata, and Koshi.
