A town in Hata County, in the southwestern tip of Kochi Prefecture. It produces tobacco leaves, mandarin oranges, and vegetables, and also raises livestock. It was known for sardine fishing, but is now in decline. The coast is lined with cliffs, including the beautiful Odo Coast, and is part of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. Area: 102.94 km2 .
