...However, in the process of monopolization, there is often fierce oligopolistic competition, and sometimes cooperative relationships called pooling are established after mutually paying high prices. The main forms of pooling are traffic pools and money pools. The former is a mutual agreement on freight rates and transportation sharing ratios for specific competitive items, eliminating mutual competition, while the latter is a mutual agreement in which all or part of the participants' fare revenues for specific competitive items are deposited in a common pool account and then distributed to each other at regular intervals according to a distribution ratio agreed upon in advance.
