However, in recent years, there have been many cases of actors writing their own writings, and the nature of the writings has naturally changed. In the Edo period, in response to the desire of the audience to hear from the actors themselves about the artistic creation philosophy of the great Kabuki actors and the painstaking efforts and traditions of their performance direction techniques, Actor's Confucius Collections of artistic discussions such as "Yakushiyabanashi," "Kokon Yakushiyarongo Sakigake," "Azuma no Hanagatsumi," and "Kabuki Zodan" (1818, edited by Nakamura Shikan I) were published. In modern times, Noh manuscripts such as "Zeami Twenty-one Collection" and "Konparu Seventeen Collection," which had not previously been made public, were also published, and these were essentially considered "artistic discussions."
