Kanamori Yorikane

Kanamori Yorikane
1713-1763 A daimyo in the mid-Edo period.
He was born on October 15, 1712. In 1713, he became the second head of the Kanamori family, lords of Hachiman Domain in Mino (Gifu Prefecture). He served as a soshaban (a court official), but in 1765, he was found guilty of mismanagement, including uprisings, which had lasted for four years, and his territory was confiscated, and he was placed under the lifelong custody of Nanbu Toshikatsu, lord of Morioka Domain. He died on June 6, 1770, at the age of 51. His original name was Katsuyori.

正徳(しょうとく)3年10月15日生まれ。元文元年美濃(みの)(岐阜県)八幡(はちまん)藩主金森家2代となる。奏者番をつとめたが,宝暦8年4年間にわたる一揆(いっき)などの失政をとわれて領地を没収され,盛岡藩主南部利雄(としかつ)に終身預かりとなった。宝暦13年6月6日死去。51歳。初名は台頼(かつより)。
