A manor in Yamanobe County, Yamato Province. The current name of the manor is Kawaharajocho, Tenri City, Nara Prefecture. Also called Kawara-sho, it was originally the territory of Gufuku-ji Temple (Kawahara-dera Temple), but when Gufuku-ji Temple was given to Kukai, it became the territory of the head temple administrator of To-ji Temple (Kyoogokoku-ji Temple) along with Gufuku-ji Temple, and in 1399, it became the territory of To-ji Temple with a donation from the head temple administrator Shunton. In the same year, it had 28 cho and 5 dan of rice fields. At the beginning of the 11th century, Yamabe-sho, the territory of Gufuku-ji Temple, was established in the Kawarajocho area, and it is possible that Kawarajo-sho was renamed Yamabe-sho after the name of Gufuku-ji Temple's location, Kawahara.
