Born on July 13, 1888. After serving as the principal of Tokyo School for the Deaf and the National School for Education of the Deaf, in 1951 he became the head of the Konodai branch of Tokyo University of Education and a lecturer at the same university. He worked to make education for physically and mentally disabled children compulsory. He studied the pronunciation and vocalization of deaf children and published works such as "A Detailed Explanation of Education for the Deaf" and "New Lectures on Language Education for the Deaf." He passed away on March 15, 1960. He was 71 years old. He was from Hyogo Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo Imperial University.
