Caccia (English spelling)

An important form of poetry and music in 14th-century Italy. The name means "hunt." The lyrics are about hunting and other vivid scenes. The musical form is a strict canon for two voices, but these two voices are usually joined by a free tenor voice and are often played on instruments.
