Hachiro Kataoka
?-1332 A samurai of the Kamakura period.
A native of Yamato (Nara Prefecture). In 1331, when Prince Moriyoshi fled Kyoto and hid in Totsukawa, he accompanied Akamatsu Norisuke and others. He tried to follow the prince towards Yoshino but was attacked by Tamaki no Shoji no Moritaka. He fought to protect the prince, but was killed in battle in 1332. His name was Riichi.

大和(奈良県)の人。元徳3=元弘(げんこう)元年(1331)護良(もりよし)親王が京都をのがれて十津川に潜伏したとき,赤松則祐(のりすけ)らとともに随従する。さらに親王にしたがって吉野方面にむかおうとして玉置荘司の盛高の襲撃にあい,親王を護衛して抗戦したが,正慶(しょうきょう)元=元弘2年戦死した。名は利一。
